A small town of just 34,500 residents, Wheeling, Illinois is located 41 minutes from Chicago and 23 minutes from O'Hare International Airport via I-294. Wheeling has a station on Metra's North Central line that runs between Antioch, Illinois, and Chicago's Union Station.

Wheeling is located along a string of forest preserves that extends from the Ryerson Conservation Area through Lake Ave. Woods Forest Preserve and beyond. This area is a great place for biking, hiking and enjoying nature. Of course, Lake Michigan is close by for boating and other water sports.

Each year the residents of Wheeling join together to celebrate Freedom Fest with a parade, bingo, concert and more; Lighting of the Lights to welcome in the holiday season with song and lights; and Lollipop Lane, where Mr. and Mrs. Claus deliver treats to local children.
