Evanston and Glenview, Illinois, are located just 20 minutes from Chicago, but they each offer a slower paced, peaceful lifestyle more consistent with a small town. Evanston is home to some 74,000 residents, while Glenview has just 42,000 citizens. The communities are both within 2-3 miles of I-94 that leads directly into the city. Evanston is the home of Northwestern University. The CTA's Purple Line, which is part of Chicago's "El" system serves Evanston.

Evanston has a lovely location along Lake Michigan with beautiful parks for biking, hiking and picnicking. In the summer, the city offers the Starlight Concert Series featuring local and out-of-town performers. In Glenview, residents enjoy The Grove, a park that recreates historic buildings and has interpretive nature trails.
